The JPX magazine holds two pepper shots. Each contains approximately 10 grams of a very dense Piexon-formulated blend of oleoresin capsicum, called PIEXOL. OC (oleoresin capsicum) is an extract of cayenne pepper, and in the patented PIEXOL blend, it has a stinging power measured at 400,000 SHU on the Scoville scale, one of the most powerful on the market today.
Effects and Symptoms
In addition to the strong impact, the attacker is left with a red halo, allowing for identification should law enforcement officers flee. The PIEXOL® liquid gel penetrates the mucous membranes and is unable to stop it, not even glasses, masks, or fabrics. Within moments, the attacker is immobilized for approximately 45-60 minutes, with symptoms such as burning in the eyes, nose, mouth, and skin, spontaneous closing of the eyes, loss of vision, and severe tearing, difficulty breathing with a cough, and a strong general burning sensation.
