The JPX6 magazine holds four pepper spray rounds. Each round contains approximately 10 grams of a very dense Oleoresin Capsicum blend formulated by Piexon, called PIEXOL. OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) is an extract of cayenne pepper. In the patented PIEXOL blend, its stinging power is measured at 400,000 SHU on the Scoville scale, one of the most powerful on the market today.
Effects and Symptoms
In addition to the powerful impact, the attacker is left with a red halo, allowing for identification should law enforcement officers flee. The PIEXOL® liquid gel penetrates the mucous membranes and nothing can stop it, not even glasses, masks, or fabrics. The attacker is immobilized within moments for approximately 45-60 minutes, with symptoms such as burning eyes, nose, mouth, and skin, spontaneous eye closure and loss of vision with heavy tearing, difficulty breathing with coughing, and a strong general burning sensation. The effects and symptoms, while severe enough to completely inhibit the attacker from further actions and threats, do not cause permanent damage.
